Luc came out of the bathroom with a serious expression.

"Did you hear what we talked about?"

He grimaced unpleasantly, but nodded.

"The space isn't very big, so I can easily tell that the walls are very thin," he said, and shrugged his shoulders. “It wasn't my intention to be a gossip, to meddle, just that I had a hunch about Callum and from what I heard, I got it right very well.”

"What do you mean?"

"Do you know Callum likes you?"

"Callum doesn't like me.”

"The fool is in your way, just not enough to fight, so coming here without Chloe, bringing you food and asking prying questions, which are not of his importance, is a way of showing his interest," he explained before grabbing a chair and sitting down in front of the bed. “Just the detail of bringing you the cupcakes and juice you like, means that she pays a lot of attention to you and that would explain why your cousin behaves that way.”
