I was stunned by what Nikini said and was trying to wrap my head around what she had told me.

"Tell me that it's a joke. You must be lying. I remember our childhood perfectly, Mom and Dad had always been there in my memories from as far back as I can remember."

"Were they? I overhead them talking then. I didn't get the full details but I heard them reveal that they had gone to a witch to wipe your old memories and implant new ones. Apparently, your history wasn't all that pleasant. They were going to tell you when you came of age but they didn't get the chance to do so since they died suddenly in that crash."
