The after-party of Ruth's burial was in full swing and I kept an eye around to see that nothing happened out of place and it befitted a royal celebration. As much as the noise and festivities in the hall grated on my nerves, I knew that it was important to keep up these appearances.

I had looked out for Sophie ever since we came to the hall for the ceremony but she was absent. I knew she would be in the room playing with Bryce or even reading a book. I planned to have a serious talk with her about the duties expected of a Luna queen.
