Wolfsbane

MAGNUS POV

I parked the Porsche a little distance away from the warehouse, hidden behind some trees, and turned off the engine. I steeled myself to be calm as I prepared to face whoever it was. I had to get through the conversation without breaking the abductor's head or something.

"Wait in the car," I instructed my mother. "I have to have a little chat with your goons first before the tradeoff."

She nodded once and still did not say anything. For some reasons that I couldn't fathom, she seemed to be nervous herself about the whole thing. Who knew if she really didn't know the people behind this. I doubted it though. I got out of the car, taking a deep breath to steady my nerves. I needed to buy some time before Luke and the others came around.

As I approached the entrance of the warehouse,I saw several figures waiting there, their faces were obscured by masks but I knew from their scent that they were members of our kingdom. I couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust at their betray
