SOPHIE POV

My world was a blurry haze as I slowly drifted in and out from the darkness of unconsciousness. I could hear faint voices, distant and muffled, like echoes from a distant dream but I couldn't tell if it was from my head or if they were real. My body felt very heavy too, and every slight movement was an effort.

As I struggled to regain my senses, a familiar voice called out to me, pulling me closer to consciousness. I wasn't sure but I could swear that it was Magnus, and he sounded worried. His words were spoken very low and a jumble at first, but I gradually began to piece them together.

"I'm sorry for what I did. Come back to me, Sophie,"

The voices were not real then, I affirmed as I heard the words. There was no way Magnus could say that. Even if he did, I couldn't bring myself to form an articulate response. My mind was still foggy, trapped in a disjointed world between dreams and reality. But I wanted nothing more than to tell him to fuck off.
