Justin

Justin

I woke up with a throbbing headache, I wasn’t a drunkard but it’d be unfair to see a lady downing alcohol while I stayed without joining.

Yesterday was fun and I’d like to have more of it but it’d be at the expense of her happiness, it would be terrible for her to be devastated everyday.

Jack, my wolf couldn’t describe what prompted us into offering to have a drink with her because I wasn’t the type who’d be bothered with anybody, talk more of a heartbroken lady.

I chuckled amidst the pain as I remembered how she had ranted and cursed loudly. She acted so unladylike yesterday but it gave off a sexy feminine vibe.

The way her lips parted to curse, the way she squinted her eyes, how she’d throw her head pain and her laughter was pure honey.

The way she let go of herself when she began taking the wine, how serious and feisty she looked, her hair was packed in a ponytail initially but letting it fall was like taking off her innocent part and showing off her sultry side.

I grabbed my phone, my eyes blurry for a moment as I stared at the messages. I got one from Dave inviting me over for dinner andJack scowled, furious that he was inviting me after breaking the heart of my fri… No… After cheating on his girlfriend.

It didn’t bother me a bit but I was only concerned since she’s just a poor orphan, people like her are very fragile and should be pampered.

“You’ve got a meeting in half an hour time, what’s keeping you?” Conner, my assistant’s message made my eyes widened and I dropped my phone, strutting to the bathroom calmly.

I am Justin Thor, I don’t need to brag about anything because my achievements are more than enough, tan skinned 6’2 ft tall.

There was no need to brag about my looks and achievements when it could speak out. I left the bathroom after twenty minutes and got dressed within fifteen minutes.

I walked downstairs to see Conner waiting for me, he shook his head slightly when he saw me, checking his watch.

“We’re very late,” He muttered.

“Get me coffee, black without sugar. I’d like a plain sandwich” I instructed and he stared at me in disbelief, he has been with me for five years so I see no reason why he should be shocked.

I got into the car and the driver began driving while he brought out a file. “The board members are insisting…”

“I don’t care about what they’re insisting on, if it’s contrary to what I said then I don’t want to hear it” I replied and he nodded, closing the file.

We got to the company and I branched to get my sandwich and coffee which I took into the conference hall while he protested and rumbled about what they’d think.

I entered inside to see them looking furious and tired. I strutted to the middle seat which was always reserved for me.

“Let’s begin” I cleared my throat and muttered, waiting for them to start bringing up their ideas while I feasted on my odd breakfast.

“You’re 38 minutes late Justin…”

“I know and it’s 42 minutes late precisely” I retorted with an expressionless face and he bowed his head, unable to keep up with my glare.

“I apologize on his behalf… Let’s start the meeting” Beta Murphy began and he was the second man I respected most in the world so I had no problem with him talking.

While they talked about their boring ideas and decisions, my mind drifted to Dave’s girlfriend, it was crazy because I didn’t know her name. It's something I can find out within a minute but I’d prefer to hear it from her mouth.

The thoughts of her full lips parting to pronounce her beautiful name made Jack’s tail wag for no reason and I began reminiscing on what she had said yesterday.

I could remember clearly that she had gotten a promotion so if my guess is right, this is the company and she must be on the second floor.

My blood began to boil as I thought of her being on two floors below me. I was curious to know how she was doing… Was she still sad? Does she need another drink?

“Justin… What do you think?” Conner tapped my arms and I was brought out of my trance, remembering that I was in the midst of greedy and hungry wolves.

“I’ll think about it and get back to you. Excuse me, I’ve got things to do” I muttered and stood up, I’m Justin and I’ll never be caught unprepared.

I stood up and walked out, ignoring the shocked glances I got from everyone. Conner was beside us in seconds and we walked towards the elevator.

“What were you thinking about? You were completely distracted throughout” He pointed out and I shrugged.

“Let’s head to the second floor, I need to see someone” I suggested and he froze, shocked at first.

“Someone? Did anyone disrespect you? I can take care of the person, do you want me to fire the person? Should I make them disappear? If you tell me the person’s name, I’d get their family out of this pack. Who would dare to get on your nerves” Conner was panicking and I chuckled.

“Why are you fretting?” I chuckled and he shook his head.

“It’s never good news when you see someone, I’m sure that person must’ve done something terrible” Conner suggested.

“Why would you think so?” I demanded with a slight chuckle.

“You don’t have friends, well not here exactly but anyone who is making you go to the second floor is definitely in for a lot of trouble, I’m sure someone must’ve done something… Was it yesterday? What did the person do?”

“Conner… Sometimes, you just need to be free and have friends. I have a friend and I want to visit her”

“That’s even terrible… What did she do?” Conner was gripped with fear and I smirked as the elevator began moving downwards.

Within minutes, we arrived at the second floor and a commotion began when everyone saw me. “Ask for the office of the new secretary, she got promoted yesterday” I instructed and Conner’s eyes almost popped out, he was shocked that I knew details of the person.

“I don’t remember dropping any file about any lady how…” My glare made him leave immediately and he returned minutes later.

“She’s in that office…” His voice trailed.

“Wait… Get me hangover soup and a few drugs for hangover, make it snappy, 10 minutes” I instructed and he nodded before leaving.

I stayed at one side, my head bowed although I could feel everybody’s gaze on me. Conner returned with a small bag and I collected it, instructing him to leave.

He was shocked although I didn’t care.

I went over to the office Conner pointed out and much to Jack’s, mine, Conner’s and everyone’s stupefaction, I knocked on the door softly.

I had never knocked on any door for years and why I knocked was unknown to me… “Yes… Do you need anything?” I spun around when I heard her voice echoing behind me.
