The next day, Gavrael was back to being his prickly self. My first task today was to join him and his rogues while they trained and hand them towels and water where needed. So I was basically an errand girl. My wolf was restless within me as she watched them spar and train, because she wanted to join in. It had been so long since I let out my aggression by physically exerting myself till my limbs were weak. I missed feeling the adrenaline coursing through my veins while I fought, missed the rush of endorphins after a successful workout session, missed the sweat and grime and the cold shower afterwards followed by a hearty breakfast to stave the hunger and appetite I must have worked up. I wasn’t allowed to join them while they trained and it irked me.

Or maybe what really annoyed me was seeing Midi all over Gavrael as usual. Seriously, the girl was like a leech and he didn’t do anything to discourage her. She was dressed in a pair of tiny cutoff shorts that barely covered her
