Chapter 36

I felt my heart sink deeper in my chest as the man caught hold of the baseball bat. However just then a vehicle suddenly drove recklessly fast to our direction with its headlight fully temporarily blinding my eyes and for a second I thought the car would run me over but thankfully it stopped just before that could happen and the door immediately opened up.

I had to blink my eyes twice when I saw who the driver was.

“P.. Professor Collins?"

“Leave," He spoke calmly to the men but with the way they shook and became submissive it felt like his words had some unseen power.

Cowering their heads the men scamper out of the scene. What just happened here? I couldn't get my head around it.

“Are you alright?" The prof said and I could only afford to nod my head as my brain was still booting to speak.

“You shouldn't be out here by this time," he said and I could sense a bit of scolding in his speech.

Finally I found my voice: “She needs help," I pointed to the girl who was now seated motionless
