Chapter 2

"No, I do not and will never!." Marina replied looking straight into Jayden's eyes.

"What are you doing Marina? Are you trying to get revenge on me? I already apologized to you, why are you so angry?" Jayden inquired equally getting angry at what Marina did.

"She is so creepy, she didn't even cry but did the same back to him?"

"I feel a shiver in my spine, what if she is an actual lunatic?"

"We should go home now, we will watch the rest on the TV." A woman muttered while exchanging words with her friends, she picked up her bag ready to leave from there.

"No one is leaving from here till I get married. We all came here to watch a wedding, didn't we ? So I cannot deprive you of that."

"Someone lock the door, nobody should save from here till I get married," Marina remarked looking around with keen eyes, she ignored Jayden and looked around.

"Marina! That is enough! You can not disgrace our Hawthorne family like this! We agree our son made a foolish decision but you can not do this!" Jayden's mother yelled glaring hard at Marina.

"Insolence!"

"Marina that's enough, come baby. Let's get you back to your room, you need to get some rest." Mrs Jones remarked worried about her daughter.

"Go with your mother, she is right. Do not make foolish decisions." Mr. Jones said giving Marina a hard stare, he could not stand being humiliated in public.

"Why father? Why mother? We all came here to attend a wedding and a wedding must happen! It will be unfair to let the guests go back without their gifts when they did not even witness a wedding."

"I will be quick I promise, give me two minutes," Marina remarked with a smile. Holding onto her gown, Marina climbed down the altar and moved around the hall like she was searching for something.

"Mother, see, see this? This is the girl you wanted me to get married to! You all forced me to get married to her, her doubt if she even gave her sanity intact."

"She is a f*cking lunatic! A lunatic!" Jayden muttered pointing at Marina, he felt good that he refused to marry her.

"That's enough! You are the reason for this! If you did not reject our daughter in front of everyone then she would not be feeling hurt and sad!! If you dare call her a lunatic, I will slap you!" Mrs. Jones yelled, the tears in her eyes falling down her cheeks.

Jayden turned his face away in anger, he stumped his foot on the ground. This was not how he wanted things to turn out. All he wanted was to humiliate Marina but she was not even embarrassed.

The murmurs and whispers continued in the hall, the guests felt this was one of the most epic and tragic weddings they have ever attended.

A few minutes passed and then Marina returned to the hall, this time she did not come alone. Marina's face was covered with her white veil, her makeup had been touched up too.

It was like, what happened a moment ago never even happened. "She brought a man."

"Is she going to get married to someone she has no idea about?"

"This is so insane, how can she bring someone she does not even know to the altar?"

Marina's and Jayden's parents were surprised, they stepped forward to stop Marina but suddenly bodyguards separated them from the couple's path.

"What the hell is going on here? What is this? Where did these guards come from?"

"Marina! Please listen to me! Do not do this, please Marina, listen to mother please dear...." Mrs. Jones cried helplessly.

Marina's eyes burned in sadness but she was willing to do anything just to achieve her goal and get revenge. She was tired of being a pushover, she was tired of being humiliated constantly but never able to defend herself.

Marina was tired of not having the ability to make choices for herself, at the end of the day all she wanted was freedom. Freedom.

The man in a suit held onto Marina's waist stopping her from falling when she almost slipped accidentally. Marina looked up and gazed into his eyes with sadness in hers.

"Thank you very much. Thank you for saving me." Marina remarked, the man hummed and raised her up and slowly they climbed the altar.

Jayden was pushed aside by the man's body whom Marina had chosen, he stumbled to the side like a paper about to floor.

"Jayden! Are you alright? Be careful!"

"Be careful son."

Marina chuckled after standing in her position and turned to the crowd, "Thank you everyone for waiting for the said wedding. You can watch us get married now or rather watch me get married."

"Priest proceed."

The priest shook in fright where he stood because of the glares from Marina's family, they were the ones paying him but he was scared of their daughter.

"No don't! Don't do this, Marina!!"

After reciting everything and doing the prayer, the priest looked towards the man standing in front of him.

"What is your name?"

"Aiden Wellington." The man gave a short and curt reply.

The priest cleared his throat and nodded, "Aiden Wellington, do you take Marina Jones as your lawfully wedded wife, in sick and in health, in poverty, And wealth till death do you part?"

Aiden looked towards Marina, "Yes, yes I do."

"Marina Jones, do you take Aiden Wellington as your lawfully wedded husband, in sick and health, in poverty and wealth till death do you part?"

"Do not say yes Mari, please stop Mari.."

"Yes, yes I do," Marina answered loud enough for everyone to hear, a creepy smile hanging on her lips

"I hereby proclaim you, man and woman. You may now kiss the bride." The priest remarked closing his book.

"We will Save that for the bedroom sir, we can not do that here."
