I hesitantly looked at the phone screen taking a deep breath before pressing the green call button.

His phone rang and rang, so much that it made me nervous to stay in one place. Deciding that it would be much better to hear about Lydia while standing, I got off my chair walking towards the large transparent window.

"You haven't called me in ages. How is she doing?"

I asked him. He had only one job, to follow Lydia around, know what she was doing and report to me but the simple task seemed difficult for him despite me paying him handsomely.

"Sir, I'm in New York right now. I got orders not to follow Lydia Hayden anymore"

He spoke over the phone and I gnashed my teeth.

"What do you mean you got orders not to follow her? I gave you the job, am the one paying you!"I lashed out,"who gave you the orders?"
