Chapter 13

Lea:

“What is this omega doing here?” I heard a few girls, the same girls who were with Renata the other day, snicker.

“Does Renata know of this?” Another asked.

“And what is that dress that she is wearing? How could she even afford something like this?” I didn’t say a word as I walked around the pack grounds. My head was hung low, and I knew not to dare cross any limits by speaking to any of the pack members in fear that they were of higher rank. The idea of them wanting to have my head was not one that I aimed to deal with, and the fact that I didn’t even know what I was going to be doing was another thing that bothered me.

“You found your way to my home after you failed to catch my mate’s attention.” I heard Renata say from behind me. I stopped, my stomach churning at the word ‘mate’, and I couldn’t help but find myself turning around to face her.

“For a mate, you are far too protective. It seems that you are more or less possessive even,” I said, raising an eyebrow at her. “It c
