Chapter 18

Hugo chased the imposter wolf deep within the forest, he leaped and got ahead of the brown wolf. Growling and saliva dripping from the black wolf’s mouth,

“Today, you marked yourself for death”

“Alpha, have mercy please”

“Mercy… let me send a message to your Alpha”

“Wh-h-hat message am I to take back?”

Hugo lunged at the brown wolf whom he had backed into a tight corner, his jaws grasped the neck of the brown wolf; his teeth sinking into his jugular veins, Hugo could feel the blood, he snapped the brown wolf’s neck, he heard the whine of the brown wolf and spat the lifeless body from his mouth, Hugo’s thoughts were interrupted by a mind-link from Bernard,

“Alpha, Madam Sarai has fainted”

“I’m on my way”

Hugo darted off to the house and transformed into his human form; Bernard was waiting at the edge of the steps and handed a towel to Hugo,

“How is she?”

“Still unconscious, Aggie is with her”

“Okay, get my clothes to the guest bedroom downstairs and I will shower and change”

“Yes sir”
