Chapter 24

Sarai was alone in the dark passageway that led to the bunker, she was cold and scared... she sat on the bed in the bunker and waited... her heart filled with anxiety and her thoughts running wild.

If she was to be the Luna of this pack she would have to show up in the face of danger, Hugo was always protecting her... she needed to protect him as well.

Against her better judgement, Sarai went out of the bunker and snuck into the room; under her side of the bed, she had a pistol hidden, she loaded the bullets when she heard something go bump downstairs... She was not alone in the house... someone or something had come in and judging by the presence she felt... it was here looking for her.

Sarai walked out the room slowly into the hallway of the dimly lit house, she saw the shadow of a wolf lurking downstairs, she knew it wasn't Hugo... she held her pistol loaded to fire as she walked down the stairs,

"Show yourself"

The wolf hidden behind the fining room wall, grinned and morphed back
