13. Resulting Rebellion

Even though Isaac said that Clarissa had changed my clothes last night, I still wanted to confirm whether that was true. “Did you change my clothes last night?” The maid’s hands stilled, hairbrush on top of my head, the bristles yet to touch the hair strands.
