24. A Shocking Revelation

“The scent of your nervousness is choking me.” Regina blurted, taking my hand in hers as the car moved smoothly through the pack territory.

I smiled nervously, “I am sorry, Regina. It's just that–”

“You don't want to go to the Royal Physician or any physician at all but my dumb grandson keeps forcing you?”

Regina asked rhetorically. She knew me too well. Why not? After saving her life and becoming friends with her, we spoke every day and became closer until I ghosted her for four days.

Regina found out about my condition after she urged me to explain what the problem was. She knew I wouldn't close my diner for silly reasons and that I wouldn't choose to stop speaking to her. After all, I bonded well with her.

After she found out, she tried to get me checked up but I refused and explained to her that I was tired of visiting physicians and doctors. Regina didn't give up immediately even though I haven't been completely honest with her about my background.
