‘You are not enough.’
‘You don’t deserve it.’
‘You are unworthy.’
Taunting and disturbing thoughts running through the head of a young wolf shifter ever since he heard a rejection. He thought a destined mate will give him unconditional love and acceptance but it was not happening in his favor. Due to this incident inside his head, he came to a decision.
‘Alpha, can I speak with you privately?’
Everything was dark in the middle of the night when a very strong rain began to fall on the running young wolf shifter. He didn’t care about how heavy it was instead, he kept pressing on just to get away from the perimeter of the land where he came from.
‘Yes, you may. Come in and tell me what is it?’
The running young wolf shifter was an omega man from the Night Howlers pack. He was a promising omega that can rank up faster than the others but something came up that caused him to run under the heavy rainfall.
‘Ahm, Alpha, can I leave the pack for good and wish never to return?’
‘Why all of the sudden? You’re not being bullied or wronged here even with you’re gender preferences so, why choose to leave for good?’
He could still recall the sudden sadness in the eyes of his alpha when he asked permission to leave the pack; for good. He doesn’t want to leave but the feeling that haunting him from inside, he has to for the sake of regaining himself again.
‘I know that you’re a kind alpha and I love to be here but I just can’t stay here anymore. I’m too clouded and can’t pretend to be fine when I’m not.’
‘I understand on how painful it is but you can divert your attention to something else, so why leave? You’re a promising candidate to be a gamma. You’re a promising warrior that might be an Alpha one day.’
‘I’m sorry, Alpha. I already made up my mind. Please, let me leave for good.’
‘I hate to see you go but I know you well since diapers. I know that even if I don’t let you, you will still leave with or without my permission.’
‘Alpha…’
The alpha was like his second father whom he admire for having wise judgment and strong convictions about what he set his mind on. He wanted to be like him one day and even though he hate to see him sad, he already made up his mind.
‘Go and never look back once you are out of the pack’s perimeter, we’re going to consider you as a rogue.’
‘Thank you, Alpha.’
‘Be strong or even stronger than my son. I hope to meet you soon if not a gamma, an alpha perhaps.’
‘I will but please, don’t tell anyone. My parents already knew my plan. I’ll call them from time to time or whenever I can. So, please, kindly take care of them for me, Alpha.’
‘Even you didn’t say that, I will, so when you go out there, remember being a rogue wasn’t easy, so promise me that you will take care of yourself out there.’
‘I will. Goodbye, Alpha.’
Tears fell from his eyes as his mind was done in the last memory lane that he had with his Alpha. But slowly, he began to feel the heavy pressure all over his body that made him groan in pain. Something was leaving his body and it was breaking him into million pieces yet, he already made his decision. He had to pass the perimeter of their pack and never return for good.
“Goodbye, old home, and welcome rogue life.” he chuckled as his tears were being washed away by the heavy rainfall. He was now officially a packless wolf that everyone in their kind called a rogue.
‘Being a rogue wasn’t easy…’
“I think I know what he meant by it.” He muttered to himself since rogues among their kind were really foul and reckless kind of wolves. They didn’t care about anything else but he knew that he was different.
“Staying around the woods, I might accidentally cross other pack’s borders and might treat me as a danger. So, that’s out of option.” He slowed down from his run out of the woods while thinking seriously about his new situation.
“Then I better stay out of it and just dwell with the human population instead.” he decided even though he knew the risk but he knew that he was not the only creature who dwells among the humans.
Just thinking about it excites him or maybe there was something else waiting for him. But hitting the new border, the rogue wolf shifter finally came and crossed the human population. At first, the air around the city was totally mixing up and it was making him dizzy. He groaned a little and prevented himself from passing out with one deep breath, he was finally relaxed.
“Here we go.” he whispered to himself and proceed to walk around the street when something hits his nostril as the wind blew.
“That smell…” he noticed as he sniffed the air one more time but it fainted until he couldn’t anymore.
‘Mate?’
“It’s gone…” he lowly whispered ignoring the comment of his wolf through his mind. He shook his head to forget the alluring scent for the time being and welcomed himself with a new beginning.
But at the same time, on the other hand, a grumpy vampire lady suddenly found herself roaming around her properties until she ended up at a certain tree. From its shadow where she climbed up, one sniffed in the air, she found what she was looking for.
“Found you.” she muttered to herself and the owner of the scent was a thin man who seems new to the human population as it crossed the street. She watches the wolf rogue walk the street when the wind blew and passes her cold skin.
‘That smell…’
“A rogue? Interesting…” she whispered since she could tell already what kind of supernatural creature it was. But the more she watched the man walk normally around the street, the more she wanted to drink from him.
‘Mate?’
“For decades, he finally came…but not just a wolf…a wolf rogue.” she went on mumbling as she cloaked her vampire scent while she noticed a couple of his kind approach him and then gave him a helping hand.
The vampire lady was familiar with that couple who just helped him. They were one of the good rogues around the human population and around her land. Feeling satisfied and calmed, she turned her heels and leave.
“Seems like I won’t be bored.” She smirked to herself as she went back to her mansion in a good mood to rest for the night.
4:05 am The alarm clock on a phone began echoing around the small living space of a small cabin. The ringtone that has been set as an alarm clock was called At My Best by Machine Gun Kelly woke up a half-naked man with fair muscle with a few healed claw scars. He began stretching and doing his usual morning routine - brewing coffee and toasting some slices of bread and reheating leftover food from last night's dinner. “Luca, wake up, dude.” the man knocked on the wooden door of a room before waking up another man who was totally knocked out beside his wife and youngest child in their midst. “Ciel, wake up too. We’ve gone to the cafe at 4:50.” he also knocked on the next door and woke up a teenager and the eldest son of his friend. “Angel, it's too earl
4 am On the other hand, there was a haunted yet majestic mansion somewhere in the woods. The structure of the mansion might be enough for a small but one of the most powerful vampire family clans called La Croix. But due to the sensitivity of the mistress for said clan, every sound from inside or outside was totally echoing through her ears. “Argh! When will be the time they will calm down?!” The groaning voice of a beautiful lady vampire and the mistress of the said clan complained to herself about what she was hearing. “They kept bugging me whenever I’m not using my headphones to cover my ears from them. They became worse and so persistent.” She began throwing anything that her hand managed to grab while she was in her study room.
“Wha-!” he was about to say something when Mira snapped her fingertips automatically her guards appeared beside her and then commanded his men.“Take him out of my land.” Mira’s eyes glowed in angry red that made Vesmon quiet and let Mira’s men throw him out of her property.Whenever her eyes turned into a blood shade that almost looked black, it only mean that she was totally in her madness. As soon as she turned her heels that main door magically slammed and she went to the kitchen to get something.“Strong blood wine, please.” Mira sighed heavily as soon as she took a seat on the bar stool over the small bar peninsula within the kitchen.“He did it again, doesn’t he, my lady?&rdquo
Being full of hate and anger with other emotions that were mixing up deep within Angel’s chest. Being lost in his own emotion, his wolf took over and controlled his body without shifting in its wolf form. “P-please…l-let…m-me…g-go…” he kept pleading to Angel while trying to break free from his grip but nothing and Angel was totally out of reach. “S-save…me…f-rom…h-him…” he glanced over his peers and to those wolves from Angel’s pack but none of them can. None of them could do anything to save him since they knew that once they interfere, he’ll die or all of them will. They were frustrated with mixed emotions of worry for their kind at the same time they were not because he put himself into a very tight and deadliest situation. “SO BE
On the other hand, Angel stopped approaching them when the other vampire that he was dealing with has been put to sleep. But something was suddenly wrapped around his body that he couldn’t tell what it was but it was preventing him from moving on his spot. “The fuck.” Angel muttered with gritted teeth since the magical power that was wrapping around his body was coming from the only vampire with them. He turned to meet Mira. He was totally angry and tried his best to move from his spot while growling deeply. He doesn’t care about the pain that it was giving to his body. He was bleeding from fighting it back and he was not backing down. Until something hit his head from within. ‘ALARICK, ENOUGH!’ ‘NO!’ ‘THEN ARE YOU
Mira was amused by the vibe that Ciel and Sedrick were having as they walked ahead of them. But what surprised her was the gesture that Sedrick did to the young teenager halfling beside him. “And he was the first wolf rogue that Sedrick messed up the hair in amusement. He likes him.” She noticed the sudden gesture that Sedrick only does to his daughter. ‘Well, I just want to know my environment so, I could move freely in time around.’ ‘Hm, interesting thought.’ Mira noticed the side glance that Sedrick sent to her and she knew that he wanted to speak to her about something. ‘Mistress, this boy reminded me about my own daughter…’
Mira turned to her servants once again, particularly to the certain vampire who was kneeling before her. “Before you judge others, look at yourself and what I’ve given to you, use them for good since not everyone in our kind was like me. They were only a few of them.” She turned to them and reminded them calmly what kind of vampire they are. “Yes, my lady. I sincerely, apologized, my lady but I hope you understand where we also came from to act like that.” the same servant respectfully bowed her head and Mira kneeled while still carrying Elaine in her arms. “I know and be thankful for this child on reminding me that I’m different from my kind also…” She lift her chin with her free hand and smiled genuinely at her when she recalled Angel’s presence behind her.
Angel was caught off guard by it and couldn’t say anything for a split second there. He just released a heavy sigh before dropping the topic. “Thanks, Andriel. We appreciate it.” Angel just dropped the subject and thanked her for what she showed them. “Way to go to dodge the bullet. Anyway, I’ll knock later since I have to show you where the office was located.” Andriel leave it be in understanding and informed what her mistress told her earlier. “No need…like your mistress said, I could find her, and I would like to try that theory.” Angel shook his head and assured on testing Mira’s theory regarding him finding her whereabouts. “I’m starting to like you for our mistress than to that nomad. Anyway, rest well, Alpha.” Andriel smiled genuinely as she ad
