“Ian calm down,” Marcus pleaded above the noise.

I pushed my red hair off my face in anger. How could I possibly calm down? Everything was going to hell, and this stupid war shouldn’t have happened. I had told Chloe the very same thing, but it had literally gone out of her ears. There was nothing I could do to sabotage the situation.

“Come on, man. You have to chill. Being this way isn’t going to help your cause in the very least.”

“How do I do that? Don’t you understand that this isn’t good for us? There is a Cold War out there, and it will sabotage all our plans.” I snapped.

“That’s how you see it,” he said easily.

I gave him a look. “What do you mean by that?”

He smiled slowly. “Come and have a sit.”

I groaned. I wasn’t in the mood to relax, and pretend that all was well, because nothing was alright in any sense of the world. Everything was so messed up, and crazy.

“Just...”

“Just sit down,” Marcus mumbled.
