ALEXIS’ POVI got up early the next morning; just at the crack of dawn. I was expectant. Was today the day Max would take me to his home land? Yes, he’d mentioned it, but we hadn’t fixed a date for it. Knowing Max and how he didn’t waste time with the execution of his plans, it felt like he could do something like that; ask us to travel that day. MAX’ POVI stood outside my house. It was the house where I’d spent all my childhood and also much of my adulthood. It was the biggest house in the homeland. It had been built hundreds of years ago by the founding father of my pack, my ancestor. However, it had undergone renovations over the years with the last renovation being a few years ago. Yet, the size and splendor of the house never seemed to take my breath away. We’d all resorted to calling it, Moon Castle. Castle was a more fitting tittle for it more than house really. AMELIA’S POVI turned, and of course, it was Max’s mum taking a seat at the head of the table and staring pointedly at us. Max’s hand didn’t leave the small of my back as he guided me to a chair, to the left of his mother. He sat beside me to my heart’s content. He said, “Mum, this is Amelia Rhodes, my mate. MAX’S POVI wasn’t sure that the meeting between my family and Amelia had gone as smoothly as I hoped it would. I knew Analita clearly didn’t consider Amelia a sister-in-law. It was understandable. May, my chosen mate, was her best friend and she had championed us being together all these years. So, being with Amelia was a rain on her parade. I did think my Mum liked Amelia.
