Chapter Seventy - One

AMELIA'S POV

Getting ready for my wedding seemed to go by in a flurry of activities. I had the best hands to help me with my hair, makeup and dress fitting. Like she had known, my belly had grown a little bigger, so Cleo had made a little allowance in my dress for it. The dress fit perfectly and I looked like a Princess. I even felt like one.

Not so long after, we heard a car honk that signaled that it was time to leave. The girls wished me luck and reassured me that I was looking good. After this, Elizabeth appeared dressed in a pastel pink dress. I had asked her to fill the role of my bridesmaid. For a moment, I remembered Hannah and how much we’d planned a day such as this. Regardless of who got married first, we had promised to be one another’s bridesmaid. Or if one was married, at least matron of honor. But those were castles in the air, apparently. Hannah was gone.
