I woke up and rested my back on the headrest of the bed. I sat there watching Laura as she came out of the closet, combing her soft, long ebony black hair. I couldn’t hold myself.

I walked up to her and grabbed her from behind. “Hi, my love.”

“Why are you still here?” She asked as she pushed me back. “You should’ve left before now. It’s ok, leave now. I’ll call you when I need you.”

“Leave all that formal act,” I whispered as I tied my right hand around her waist and pulled her closer to me. “Do you know how beautiful you look when you comb your hair like that?”

“How beautiful do I look?” She asked while looking into my eyes.

I could see love in her eyes. I could feel that feeling I had felt years ago when I looked into her eyes. I knew Laura loved me but she wouldn’t admit it. She doesn’t want to forgive me that easily. She wants me to go through that pain she had gone through when I left her.
