The Luna ceremony is ready, and everyone has left me and joined the crowd

I take a deep breath knowing that Maven is about to announce me to come forward and I will pledge myself to this pack.

In this moment, I’m grateful that our pack isn’t the biggest one out there. The thought of so many people watching me makes me uncomfortable.

There’s a light tap on the door and then Beta Bennett puts his head in and smiles at me. He tells me, “You look great, Amelia. Are you ready?”

I nod my head nervously and I hear Maven say, “It’s time to introduce your new Luna, Amelia.”

Bennett moves and opens the door wide for me to talk out. I head a sharp intake of breath as people stare at me.

My long lace sleeves cover my hands as I walk and there’s a lace train flowing behind me. Maven stares at me and for a moment his mouth was dropped open in awe, but he quickly collects himself and looks at me proudly.

I walk up to him, and he offers me his hand as I take a step onto the podium. I noti
