Chapter Forty Two

JASON

I awakened to the soft vibration of my phone. I had intentionally put it on silent right before getting into bed with Elena, so I wasn't going to wake her up with the sound. Knowing I had just one day till I resumed work fully at Richardson's, wasn't going to stop clients from calling me. Especially when I had put them on hold for a full week. I had done the same to Elena's phone, hoping she wasn't going to get important calls from the people close to her.

She had looked tired as hell when I had seen her earlier. And I had jumped in, helping her get into bed comfortably, instead of watching her sleep in those tight clothes and shoes.

Now, as I stared at her beautiful face, I was entranced. Even as she slept, she was easily the most beautiful woman on the planet. I had known that, all the while, and had just pushed it to the back of my mind to avoid any awkward feelings.

But now, that was quite difficult.

And judging my the hard on I was currently sporting, I couldn't agree more.
