I tried to remain anonymous for the time being. When people found out the leader of a certain group was twenty and inexperienced, in their thwarted opinion, they considered the person a dummy.

I clenched my fist so tightly my knuckles turned white as I stood outside the door to their family home. My palms were clenched into fists at my side.

I knew the Walters like the back of my hands. They were probably already seated together, hands clamped together while they watched me fidget on their home monitor. Maybe the mom, the bastard of a woman, was trying her best to convince her daughter what a great match this certainly was going to be.

I had always hated the idea of arranged marriages, and now one was being forced on me against my will, just so I could keep my group.

I wondered what else they would use to convince her. Giving that they didn't want her to know what was actually going on in our world.
