Chapter 38-Fear

I left Leo to celebrate with me, I stormed to my father’s tent, and as I got into his tent, I saw him lying on the ground of the tent and a healer attending to him.

“Dad,” I said as I ran towards him.

“Oh, my dear child, he responded, As soon as I got near to him, I hugged him close to me.

“Father,” I cried out, he looked horrible, and worst of all he wasn't healing.

“My girl,” he wept and I reached forward to hug him.

“I am so sorry, I rushed here as soon as I heard what happened,” I said and my father looked at me, as he smiled.

“You don't need to be sorry my child, I failed my people and several men died trying to hold him off, it turns out I had a mole in the pack,” he said.

“Who was it, father?” I asked.

“A warrior, I don't know what Enzo has against him but that made him betray me and our pack,” my father said as I tried to steady him.

“I came to take you back to Leo’s pack, Let Leo handle the situation around here, you need a good bed rest to heal,” I said.
