Chapter 40

Emily got off her bed and glanced at the clock to see that it was almost time to prepare dinner.

Barbara never stated that she had to prepare the meals, as that wasn’t part of what her job entailed.

However, she loved the fact that Richard couldn’t stop talking about the meal she had prepared for him the last time.

This spurred her to personally include cooking in the list of things she was expected to do as a maid.

She smiled and sauntered towards the main house and into the kitchen, going through her mind and trying to figure out what to prepare.

The refrigerator was stocked up with every single thing and for a moment, Emily couldn’t help but wonder why there were so many things there which were hardly used by them.

She made up her mind to prepare spaghetti and a tomato sauce which she had just learned how to prepare.
