Chapter 48

Richard scoffed angrily as he paced outside the house while awaiting Barbara’s arrival.

Mike did the same, calling her continuously and receiving notifications that she was unavailable.

“I told you this was a bad idea”, Richard said with a giant frown on his face.

“You know what? I’m going inside and taking off this thing I’m wearing”, Richard said in resignation as he walked away from Mike.

“Hold on!” Mike called out, walking briskly to catch up with him.

“I believe that she would come. She’s probably rounding things up currently”, Mike chimed in, hoping that he would hold up a little.

“Rounding up things with her boyfriend?” He

asked in disdain, causing Mike to remain mute.

“Don’t stop me again! I’m done”, Richard said in finality as he pushed Mike aside and made to walk inside the house.
