Chapter 52

“Waste of time!” Richard muttered angrily when he observed Barbara, who was at the corner, flirting with one of the businessmen who had come around.

“I see that your wife is getting acquainted with business partners”, Murray said as he walked closer to Richard, whose attention was on Barbara.

His eyes opened in shock and immediately, a giant smile of recognition spread across his lips.

“Hi Murray! This is a beautiful banquet”, Richard commented as he stretched his hands out for a handshake.

“Thank you so much. I wanted something which would be able to bring couples together”, Murray started explaining, with Richard listening with rapt attention.

He couldn’t believe that Murray had walked up to him and started a conversation.

Even in his wildest dreams, he would term it as impossible.

“I’m sure you achieved your aim. Most of the couples here are super excited”, Richard said and gulped down hard to conceal the emotions that accompanied his statement.

“Everyone looks happy, and I’m glad”
