Chapter 57

Emily quickly stood to her feet and bowed, after which she walked out of the living room.

Everything was happening so fast and all she wanted was a moment to understand everything.

She got back to her room and laid on the bed, sobbing silently and sniffing hard.

For a minute, it was difficult to place her hands on why she cried, but when she looked deeper, she discovered that it was because the person her heart craved for belonged to another woman.

“So pathetic!” She said aloud and picked up a book that laid on her desk.

It was one of these countless books she read that talked about love and marriage.

“Marriage is not always sweet like it seems. There are times when it is bitter and sour, and there are times when it is dark and filled with uncertainty. However, there shouldn’t be going back as with time, all broken pieces would come back together”, Emily read aloud amidst her sobs that became louder.

She couldn’t tell why she picked up the book to read. It was clear that she was looki
