Chapter 51

Emily sank deeper into the couch, losing every strength she had and wishing that she was only having a nightmare.

Her eyes stayed glued on the television, and her fists clenched in rage.

She couldn’t decipher why she felt a surge of rage, but one thing she knew was that Barbara wasn’t worth being his wife.

“This is so frustrating”, she mumbled the moment the camera moved to Richard and Barbara, who were seemingly giggling in excitement.

“Waste of time!” She groaned in annoyance and quickly switched off the television.

Suddenly, tears welled up in her eyes and without giving her brain the chance to recall the past day events, she went up the stairs and into Barbara’s room again.
