Chapter 129: Watching From Afar
Matthew ran as fast as he could through the streets as he made his way to the hospital. The hospital was filled with people and so was the elevator.
He took the stairs and made his way up to the fifth floor. Then he continued running towards a certain ward. He saw a few people standing in front of the ward's door.
Cecilia, Yuki and even Gustav and Emilia were there. Matthew stopped once he arrived. They already saw him from afar and turned their attention to him.
“I came as fast as I could. What happen-”
*SLAP*
Before Matthew could finish speaking, Cecilia slapped him on his cheek. Matthew held his cheek and looked at Cecilia confused.
“Where have you been?” Cecilia asked him with a threatening voice.
While still confused by why he just got slapped, Matthew answered. “I just got back from a quest.”
