The weight of the situation bore down on me heavily, and I knew that I had to make a difficult choice.
I couldn't stand by and watch my friends and the pack members suffer, and I couldn't risk Samantha's life. With a heavy heart, I dropped to my knees, submitting to Alpha Marcus's power.
"Please, spare them," I pleaded, my voice filled with desperation. "I'll do whatever you want, just don't hurt them."
Alpha Marcus's sinister smile widened as he realized that he had me at his mercy. "Very wise choice," he taunted, releasing his grip on Samantha's throat. She gasped for air, and I could see the fear in her eyes.
I felt a pang of guilt and helplessness. I had hoped that we could stand against Marcus, but I knew that our strength alone was not enough.
