Tyler's POV
Oliver knew I was having second thoughts about going to this party so he told Mother and of course, she made sure I went. According to her, it would be a great opportunity for me to find a bride which I wasn't interested in. "Let this party end quickly." I groaned inside the car. I looked out the window throughout the journey. I wasn't really ready for all this. I knew immediately I got to that party, every alpha, luna, and their daughter would flock around me and I couldn't even lose my temper—I had to be nice. By the time I got there, the introduction was over. I felt kind of sad because I really wanted to see the alpha and his daughter before I introduced myself just to know what I was dealing with beforehand. I looked around and I could see all the ladies staring at me. "Is it just me or all the ladies staring at me?" I asked Oliver who was behind me. "Alpha of course they will stare. You are quite the catch this mating seasoning." Right, which mother would not want their daughter to marry a young alpha from a very influential pack? "If you want alpha, I can tell them not to come close," Oliver suggested. "No, that wouldn't be necessary." I don't want to make a bad impression since it is my first time. One or two small talks won't hurt, right? I knew this would be a tough night so it wouldn't be bad to start it with a drink. If I am a bit tipsy, I wouldn't get so worked up. I was going to the bar to get a drink when someone bumped into me. from the looks of it, it was a girl. Her body was so soft. I am sure this is one of the tactics they will use to get close to me. "Watch where you are going," I told her. I didn't really see her face because she bent down to pick up her phone. She stood up and said, "You watch where you are going. You bumped into me." I looked at her I couldn't believe this girl. "You were the one so fixed on your phone that you couldn't see. Maybe next time don't text and walk since you can't do both." I told her and left. I know she wanted to say more. She seemed like a talkative but I didn't let her. this isn't the time or the place. But why did she look so familiar? I got to the bar and got myself a glass of whiskey, observing everyone trying to find out who exactly is the alpha- that's who I came here for in the first place. I went over to a group of men talking, just know what exactly till all about. "Did you hear about the alpha's daughter's failed marriage?" one of them said. "It wasn't actually failed. The brides were just exchanged." Another corrected. "It still failed since she is not the one that got married. I heard she exchanged the bride." The other one said. I just stood there quietly trying to listen. This was an interesting topic and I wanted to know it in full detail. Why would a girl go to the extent of changing the bride just to get out of a marriage? I sipped my whiskey and kept on listening. "What is her name again?" "What do you mean what is her name? don't you know Emily Waston-King? She is the most feared she wolf. No wonder no one talks about that incident. If it was a normal she-wolf, she would be ruined by now." The other said with a chuckle and sipped his wine. "Emily Watson-King." The name was at the tip of my tongue. I remember that name but from where? My mind was moving a hundred miles an hour just to find that name and I finally did. it was the same girl from high school. Although I can't remember her face because that was years ago, I can't forget that name. She was the most annoying girl I have ever seen. What did I expect? Only she can do something like that. I excited myself from the conservation and went to look for Oliver. Before I could get to him, someone came up to me. A man in his early sixties. "Tyler, so nice to have you at my party. I thought you wouldn't come." His party? So, this is the alpha. "Thank you alpha for inviting me. it is a pleasure." I said with a little smile. That is all I can give. "Come, let me introduce you to some of my guests." He told me and grabbed me before I could say no. he took me to a group of men who I think are all alphas and introduced me. I was happy, at least I could make relations for the betterment of my pack. as always, they sympathized with me on the death of my father. I just gave a little small smile. I could care less if they cared. "Darling, would you come here for a second? There is someone I would like you to meet." The alpha called out to someone. I looked up, ready to give my little smile and try not to make things awkward but what I saw startled me. It was the same girl from earlier. The same girl that bumped into me. "Tyler, this is my daughter, Emily Watson-King. Emily, this is the alpha of the Red Dawn pack, Tyler Bay." Did he just say Emily Watson-King? So, this is her. how did I forget her face? "Nice to meet you." She said with her hand stretched out. "The pleasure is mine." I covered my hand with hers. We both looked at each other. She kept on looking at me and it became awkward. I am sure she was still pissed from earlier but she didn't want to say it. "Tyler, Emily, why don't you both dance." The alpha suggested. I think this night just got way better- note the sarcasm.Emily's POVWas Father really kidding me? Of all the things he could think of, it was a dance. I knew from the moment I saw him earlier that I knew him, I couldn't just say where, when, and how till he said his name. Tyler Bay; how could I ever forget that name. the smartest boy in our time back in high school. I still remember how I couldn't stand his guts. That has a little bit of back story and I wouldn't get into that right now.He is still as grumpy as always. Never smiles and always keeps this weird look on his face that makes me wonder what he is always thinking. he always left like he was right, in everything and I was always wrong. He was the bane of my existence back in high school."Why don't you both dance?" my father asked again. We looked at each other. He already knew my answer. Nothing in this world would make me dance with not even if I am dying."Or is there a problem?" father asked. I think he could sense the tension between both of us. I was just about to speak fo
Tyler's POV Of all people that I had to dance with this night it had to be her. She just spoiled my mood. How can anyone, especially a lady be that rude? Well, I wasn't really surprised. After all, it is Emily. She has always been like this; an annoying spoiled brat who lives on daddy's money and always thinks that people owe her something. I really doubt if her success is really hers. Just like during the dance, when she stepped on me. I know she did it on purpose when I saw her smirk. I didn't want to lose my temper because everyone was watching and I didn't want to make a scene; my reputation was at stake. I wanted to let it go, but when I noticed that she wanted to do it again, I just couldn't take it. I stepped on her foot. Seeing her limp gave me a bit of satisfaction. I knew she would react because she is Emily. So, I immediately made her fall and cut her. "Control yourself, Emily. Trust me, you really don't want to cause a scene here." I whispered into her ears.I think
Emily's POVI don't know if it is my bad luck or if the moon goddess is not on my side today. After the dance I had with Tyler, my father made me do this rotational dance, you know, the one where you exchange partners on the dance floor. According to him, it will make me find someone faster.Honestly, I feel bad saying this but the dance I had with Tyler was the best dance I had all through that night. I mean, he could keep a good conversation. I mean, what is wrong with these men? Can't they say something reasonable? The first one, he said his name is Austin or so. The conversation started well and he seemed like someone from a nice family till I asked him what he does and he told me he works for his father. I just became uninterested. How will a daddy's boy understand who I am and what I do?The next one was Adam, he kept on looking at me like I was food or something, at a point I thought he was on drugs then I figured it out, he was a Casanova.By the time I got to the third person
Tyler's POV.Everything is really confusing. I am not even sure what is happening. I saw her wear her clothes as fast as she could and storm out of the room. She kept on rumbling and cursing till she left the room. how can I girl curse so much?I was all over the place. I couldn't remember a single thing. I went into the shower and tried to remember but all I could remember was the party with the boys. It was like I blacked out or something. But honestly, things were not looking good. Of all people I had to sleep with it had to be Emily, God! Why her? That girl drives me nuts!Immediately I was done, I picked up my phone to call Oliver; he will surely know what happened after the party. Before I could touch my phone, there was a knock on the door. It will surely be room service because I ordered some food and coffee, my head really hurt. I opened the door and it was the exact person I was looking for. Thank God he is here."Dude, I have been trying to reach you since morning. Thank Go
Emily's POVI really fucked up this time. Of all the people I had to have a one-night stand with it was that guy? Tyler? And the worst part is that I can't even remember.Immediately I got into my car, I drove straight home and sneaked in through the back, and climbed up into my room. I didn't want a father to see me. he thinks I am throwing a tantrum for the marriage thing or so I thought.I tried to remember what happened last night but nothing was coming to mind only the face that I was almost abducted. I still remember their faces and I will look into them later but how did I end up in bed with Tyler of all people? Although he is kind of hot and he looked so good without clothes. – Shut up Lyla.I looked at my phone and saw so many missed calls from Amelia. She never calls this much on else there is a huge problem. I called her back."Where have you been?" she asked, "I have been trying to reach you.""Amelia, I fucked up. I fucked up" I said in a panic. Amelia is the only person
Tyler's POVI have never been this scared in my life. I know my mom; she will not kill me but she is really pissed right now and only the moon goddess knows what she will do. I am not really afraid of my mom. She is the sweetest person you could ever know but she isn't the Luna of Red Dawn for no reason. She called me back home, probably because of the video. I didn't know what I would say to her when I got home but it happening and I had to think of something and I had to think of it fast. Immediately I got to the Bay mansion, I was taken to my study like some kind of hostage. I guess the Luna is greater than the Alpha now. She was there, seated waiting for me. She asked the servant to leave when she saw me. "Do you have an idea what you just did?" "Mom, I can explain. The thing is…""Explain what?! What the hell do you want to explain?!" she yelled at me cutting me off. "Do you have any idea the consequences of what you have done? This is not only affecting the pack but our damn
Third point of view.Emily was confused and angry but she needed to handle other things right now; other things like Leo. During the dinner, he called her and asked them to meet up.Emily was 90% percent sure that it was Leo who tried to abduct that night. After all, he is her only enemy for now. After the stunt she pulled on their wedding, she will obviously be angry but Emily didn't care. She will never let anyone be treated unjustly.Emily drove to the location he chose. She wasn't worried because it was an open restaurant. Besides, she is strong, stronger than him; if he wants, he can try.Emily got to the restaurant. It was one of the most expensive on the street. She wasn't surprised Leo always liked to show off any little money he had. She knew he wasn't rich, at least not as rich as the Watson-King's or the Bay's but he loved to behave that way, like he owns the place. Emily was sure by now it was him who tried to abduct when she saw one of the men as his bodyguard. Emily kne
Emily's POV.I finished my task- if you know what I mean and came straight home. Now, I can handle this mess. Marriage? Really? Of all the things they could come up with it had to be marriage. First of all, I don't like Tyler. He is snobby, and arrogant and thinks he is always right, secondly, we are both alphas. We don't blend and thirdly, he is not my type. When I got home, I went straight to my father's office and as I thought, he wasn't there. "Where is my father?" I asked one of the maids I saw"Ma'am, I don't know." She answered with her head down.I went to the balcony and there I saw him. he wasn't really trying so hard to avoid me. he was just by the balcony, sipping on a glass of wine and staring at the stars. He looked relieved for some reason. At that moment, I want to yell. I wanted to yell to the whole heard my voice. Why would my dad put me in something like this? Arrange my marriage without even telling me."Are you avoiding me?" I asked as I came closer."How can I?
