1. The Mad Shawn

With one drifting move, Shawn overtook the Mustang that was driving around the corner just a few meters from the finish line. The Mustang's driver was already optimistic that he would emerge victorious from the turn, at least until the flawless drifting action of the matte black GT-R erased any confidence in the Mustang's driver. In just a few seconds that seemed blurry to the eyes of the Mustang's driver, the GT-R managed to touch the finish line and greeted his victory with a twisting action using an amazing drift technique.

Shawn came down confidently from the GT-R. Sleight of a smile crept on his lips. In an instant, Shawn had become the center of attention in the wild race arena filled with crowds that night. A man slipped through the crowd to hand Shawn a roll of a hundred thousand before returning to let Shawn have fun with all the attention given to Shawn, including from two girls who were busy clinging to Shawn's side.

Shawn let go of the girls when Toni approached him. Before he could ask, a booming voice coming from the hut on the sidewalk caught his attention.

"FREE BEER!" the man said, making everyone now rush to the gazebo.

Tony laughed. "The free one always wins, yea?" he mocked. He patted Shawn's shoulder. "It's okay. Just give other people a chance to be noticed sometimes, okay? You stole all the attention every week, Mate. It's not fair anymore," he said.

Shawn snorted, but he didn't refuse when Toni led him over to the crowd in the gazebo for a free beer. Just as he got there, Shawn knew who the madman wanted to spend his money on this many people.

Standing at the table holding up a beer bottle, Adam babbled and laughed. Some of his friends forced him to get off the table, but Adam refused. He was so drunk that Shawn doubted he was serious about giving away free beers, but none of his friends stopped people from getting beers. So maybe it was confirmed that Adam had gone mad.

"Ah, 'The Mad Shawn,'" Adam said, waving as soon as he saw Shawn standing in the gazebo. "Have a beer, bro. I'll let you have as many as you want, for you're the winner!" he shouted, which was immediately greeted by everyone with excited shouts.

While the crowd seemed to be having fun, Shawn frowned. Adam didn't usually get out of control like that. Adam rarely even wanted to get drunk.

"What is it with him?" Shawn asked Randy, one of the people standing by Adam.

"He just saw a video of his father checking in the hotel with a girl, though his mother is still critical in the hospital. Adam's men just sent the video," said Randy.

"And that means he should waste the money?" Shawn asked. It's so easy for these rich assholes to squander money. Didn't Adam even bother to take time to think of the people who were dying to get a bite of rice?

"He just wants revenge, Shawn. You can see for yourself what kind of child Adam has been, right? He never got into trouble. But turns out, being a good child is still not enough for his father. His father thinks that as long as Adam is given money, his father can be free to play out there. Adam just wanted to show that the money from his father meant nothing to him." Randy said.

"Show him what now?" Shawn asked. "His father isn't even here to see it."

"No need, Shawn!" Adam shouted, making Shawn and Randy turn their heads. Adam knelt on the table. "He doesn't need to see. He needs to feel," he said hatefully.

"Meaning?" Shawn asked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Need to feel what?"

Adam smiled a little. "Need to feel removed from office and kicked out from the DPR seat," Adam said. "...for has been playing with my mother and me."

"And how the hell do you do that? Your father is an influential person. Just by acting like this, you think you can bring down your father? What actually happened is, you are destroying yourself while your father is having fun out there," Shawn said, trying to wake Adam up.

Instead of waking up, Adam laughed. Next, he patted Shawn's cheek instead. "Out all of the people, Shawn, I never thought you would be the most innocent," Adam said, and when he saw Shawn's expression harden, Adam quickly added, "Not this way. I told someone to sabotage my father's room and record his lewd actions with that bitch! And...." Adam spread his arms, looked up, and laughed as he said, "I'm going to spread it all over the world."

Adam laughed again while his friends were already grimacing.

Shawn laughed sarcastically. "You want to destroy your father just for a momentary emotion?"

Adam stopped laughing and looked back at Shawn with his face red with anger. "Momentary, Shawn? Momentary, you say? He has been acting like this for almost half of my life! I've been trying to be patient all this time, but what I can't tolerate is that he does lewd things while my mother is dying! If you were me, could you just be silent?" Adam asked, making Shawn speechless. "He's been in power over my mother and me way too long just because he's an important person in the state. And I... don't know any better way to change him other than this."

Adam laughed, but his eyes started to water as he snatched iPhone from Randy's hand and handed it over to Shawn, forcing Shawn to see what the screen was showing.

Shawn lowered the gaze to iPhone to watch a video of a middle-aged man is walking while hugging a sexy girl who seemed more suitable to be called his daughter. Or even his granddaughter. The expression on Shawn's face remained unchanged until the video showed the girl's face in the man's arms more clearly.

And soon as Adam shouted, "That bitch ruined my family!" Shawn looked up and glared at Adam.

The cell phone in Shawn's hand fell, but Adam didn't even protest. Adam was too surprised to see Shawn's cold face that looked at Adam as if he wanted to kill him.

Adam was almost shaking. He who had been so disorganized was now silent. Just as he was about to ask what his mistake was, Shawn grabbed him by the collar and asked in a voice that was nothing more than a whisper, "Where are they now?"

Adam frowned. "W-w-what you… mean, Shawn?" Adam asked, confused.

"Which hotel?" Shawn asked again.

Adam lost words. Apart from not understanding what happened to Shawn, he also couldn't trust Shawn, especially when he saw Shawn's change of attitude that is frightening.

And before Adam managed to digest it, Shawn had pulled Adam off the table and slammed him to the floor, causing an instant chaotic atmosphere. The people who had been busy getting the beers were now back around to surround Shawn to see what was happening. Meanwhile, their friends tried to hold back when Shawn stomped Adam's body on the floor to get him to speak.

"Calm down, Bro. What are you doing?" Randy asked. "Come on, Shawn, you know Adam is drunk. Don't take to heart what he said," Randy held again.

Randy could see Adam was terrified beneath Shawn, but Randy didn't have the courage to touch Shawn before Shawn hit him. He didn't want to be on Shawn's black book. It wasn't the first or second time Randy had seen Shawn fight and create some victims. Randy thought he wasn't the only one who didn't want to mess with Shawn.

"Which hotel, Dam?" Shawn asked again. His eyes were sharp, and his voice full of threatening.

"Hot-hotel ..." Adam stammered.

Shawn was really losing his temper. Then, Shawn stomped Adam's body again until his back hit the floor. Adam didn't even have time to moan because what happened next was Adam saw Shawn had lifted one hand and held in a fist.

Shawn wanted to punch Adam? Oh, this isn't good! So, before that happened, Adam immediately said, "Hotel... hotel... I don't know, Shawn, I swear!"

Adam crossed both hands to cover his face when Shawn was about to hit him. "My iPhone. Check there," Adam said quickly.

Without a second thought, Shawn picked up the phone on the floor and checked it. After finding what he was looking for, Shawn let go of Adam and left the crowd, leaving people wondering what had just happened.

Whether this was fate or just coincidence, but not long after Shawn arrived at the hotel's parking lot, he could already see a girl in a mini dress covered with a calf-length coat walking out of the hotel. Well, it was a bit of luck. If the girl hadn't come out, Shawn would have gone in and broken in the room's door, then beat up the damn official who took advantage of the girl. However, it seemed that God still loved Shawn for letting him meet the girl outside. Shawn would definitely wake up in jail the next day if he injured an important and powerful state official.

Without waiting any longer, Shawn got out of the car and went straight to the girl who was walking while tidying up her clothes. "Samara!" Shawn called, and just as Shawn expected, the girl stopped her step.

She lifted his head, turned his head, and when he saw Shawn, the girl was stunned.

"What are you doing here?" Shawn demanded.

"B-b-bro... Brother?" Samara stammered.
