5. The Accident

Shello smiled. "Not believe it more and more," Shello answered, making Satya finally carve a smile on his face. "It's just a myth. I've always believed it was just a myth."

Shello then removed the ring from Satya's ring finger and transferred it to Satya's little finger.

"So it's a bit loose," said Satya, little goosebumps that the ring still didn't fit on his finger. The ring might just accidentally fall.

"We'll enlarge the measure of the ring so it will fit your ring finger," said Shello. "It's mine now. So, I think this is my right," said Shello before Satya could argue. "Now, come on, let's go home!" she invited.

Satya stretched out his hand. "Ah, I can't wait to go home and tell the world that I'm gonna be your husband," Satya said, making Shello laugh.

"Are we going to pick up mommy?" asked Samara on the way.

Shawn glanced at Samara for a second, then looked back at the road with a grin. "What for? Do I have excess money to support two people in an apartment as big as a bathroom?"

"Brother! It's mommy! How can you talk like that about your own mother?!"

Shawn looked away lazily. "Sam, you know why I left in the first place, right? Please don't burden me with more than this. I guess it's more than enough I'm willing to sell the car to pay off her debt, right? Still not enough?"

Samara gulped. Even though she couldn't bear to imagine her mother having to live alone, Samara couldn't blame Shawn too nor even demand Shawn. Shawn had given more than enough to save Samara's life. Samara didn't even know how else she should return Shawn the favour for the kindness she had received from her stupidity. The only proper way to thank Shawn right now is to obey him and do whatever it takes to lighten her brother's burden. So, in the end, Samara chose to remain silent.

Shawn was suddenly squinting as he felt the presence of a dazzling light reflected in his rearview mirror. Shawn glanced in the rearview mirror. Driving a super low sports car was difficult when a taller car was driving behind this car. The car's headlights behind him are always refracted into the rearview mirror of GT-R so that it dazzles the driver's view. Shawn couldn't protest because that was the risk of driving a low car. But, not this time.

Shawn was about to challenge the person in the car behind him until he accelerated and suddenly hit the back of the GT-R, suddenly making Samara jump while screaming because she almost hit the dashboard.

"What the f..." Shawn cursed. He was about to stop his car, but Samara stopped him immediately.

"It's them, Brother!" said Samara frantically. "Yugo must have reported us to Mr Kevin. Am I right? They can't let us go, Brother!" Samara said. She could feel his palms sweating.

Shawn glanced in the rearview mirror, watching the car behind him bustling them. From the way it drove, Shawn was sure the car was intent on hitting again. So, before the car could hit again, Shawn quickly turned the wheel and dodged.

Shawn managed to dodge the second hit, but that didn't stop the car from giving up. In fact, the car immediately chased its lateness as Shawn drove fast.

All right, so they needed a little speed? Even if they had a car as fast as Shawn's car, they wouldn't necessarily be able to catch up to Shawn, who was known as the number one person in the street race world. Not to mention the car chasing Shawn was a double cabin type that only wins strong in the body but lost in acceleration. They obviously didn't know their rival yet.

For that, Shawn didn't mind teaching them a lesson. So, Shawn began to act by overtaking the cars on the road like crazy, as agile as possible to avoid the truck behind him. So far, Shawn had managed to avoid an intentional crash, but that car was still trailing Shawn all the way to the road near the hills' top.

Yes, Shawn purposely took the road to the hills because it was the lonely road in the middle of the night and in line with his intention where Shawn wanted to put Samara in his friend's place there. It was not that Shawn didn't want to accommodate his little sister. He just had to put Samara in a safe place until he finished Samara's business with those bastards her mother knew. Otherwise, those bastards would definitely be looking for Samara, and their first destination would be Shawn's apartment if Samara wasn't found at her mother's.

That was a fact, right? They were still on the road, but they were already being chased by a rascal who just casually bumped into them.

Their car would have been far from the double cabin behind them if it weren't for a long container truck that Shawn hadn't passed over yet to give the double cabin car time to catch up with them. Shawn had not found a gap because there had always been vehicles from opposite directions since earlier, while this road could only be passed by one vehicle in each opposite direction. Shawn had to steal the opponent's path. He had tried many times but never had the chance because the container truck in front of him was driving at such an unstable speed that it was hard to calculate on this road full of twists and ravines.

"Brother, how is this? If they find us, I will be severely punished for trying to run away," said Samara almost whining. Her eyes wet with tears, making Shawn even more aggressive to take steps in driving.

And it had to be because of this time the car behind hit them, the car would automatically push their car into the container truck in front. They could be squashed in the middle of the container truck and the car behind.

Didn't want to let this go on any longer, Shawn forced himself to turn the steering wheel as soon as he saw a small gap to cut the road. He was just about to sigh of relief when he almost managed to pass over half of the container truck's body when suddenly, the road led him to a sharp turn and the next thing he realized, his vision was blinded by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
