Romeo POV

When they left the room, I took a deep breath, knowing that this was not going to make anything easier for me. I’m not scared of her, not more than that woman, but she inherited every bit of her traits. Serena Valentino is my stepsister. After the death of my father, that woman didn’t mourn for his death but came with the news that she was pregnant with someone else's child. And who was that other, I still do not know.

"What are you doing here, Serena?" I asked, and as soon as I saw her hand lifting to touch me, I immediately stood up and moved away from her, maintaining a safe distance between us. Breathing the same air as her makes me nauseous. My demon is scratching inside of me, making me feel burned. Whispering to me to wrap my hand around her neck and snap it like a twig.
