Chapter 32: Hungover

Miranda’s P.O.V

I woke up with an unfamiliar sensation pulsating through my head. It was akin to a sledgehammer being repeatedly smashed against my skull and I almost screamed out loud at the intensity of the headache I was currently having. With my eyes still closed, I sat up straight and held my temple with both my hands. I groaned out loud as the intensity would not subside. Maybe a shower would help ease the pain, I reasoned mentally and then slid out of the bed ever so slowly. I opened my eyes and was greeted by the lovely (not) sun’s rays, making me squint them until they adjusted to the luminosity before I went into the bathroom.

I didn’t immediately go into the shower but searched the cabinets for some pain medication or a first aid kit, and thankfully I found a bottle of Tylenol. Taking a glass from the same cabinet, I popped two tablets into my mouth before washing them down with water. After, I looked in the mirror and finally noticed just how unkempt and discombobulated I
