Chapter One

"Woooop!" Sheila screeched in excitement upon reading the email on her iPhone. She read it aloud twice more to confirm that what she was seeing was real and that she wasn't dreaming or mistaken. If anyone had told her that she'd be getting an email from the office of GG's HR today, she wouldn't have believed it.

She had turned in her application last month but hadn't gotten any calls and after two weeks had sailed by without getting any feedback from the company, she had lost every hope she had of working in her dream company. However, today, the call she thought would never come was here and it felt like a miracle, one she didn't expect.

The interview for the job was fixed for 8 am tomorrow, so Sheila knew she had to start getting prepared, but the news was overwhelming. She was overwhelmed.

"Focus, Sheila. You only get one shot at a first impression on Derrick Moore. You can't afford to screw that up. Remember, you are desperately in need of this job." She tells herself.

Taking a deep calm breath before dashing towards her wardrobe, she flings the doors open and begins to ransack through her clothes for the perfect something to wear.

"Something professional, classy, and somewhat sexy will do."

She picked a red jacket and a black straight gown, then spent the rest of the day browsing Derrick Moore. If she wanted to work for him, she had to know a lot, even though she knew a lot more than any normal person would.

Sheila woke up as early as the break of dawn. She was rippling with a different kind of happiness as she rolled out of bed. Quickly grabbing her laptop, which was still open to the biography of Derrick Moore, the CEO of Moore enterprises, one of the leading Tech companies in the City, she stared back at the photo of LA's most gorgeous man and she recalled the sultry dream she had just had about him and Involuntarily let out a stifled moan.

"Oh, Sheila..." She gasped.

Such a sensual dream on the morning of her interview. It was either she needed to get some of the nice treatment he had given her in that dream, or she was more nervous about this job than she knew.

Sheila got her aroused ass off the bed and strolled into the bathroom. She didn't want to be late for her interview.

After a quick bath and a hurried breakfast, she took a deep breath and then headed out for her interview.

In the impeccable foyer of Moore's enterprise, Sheila approached the front desk.

"Hi, I'm here for the secretary's interview with the HR officer."

"Ah! Yes. Concerning that, Mr. Moore would be interviewing you himself... And..." The receptionist checked her wristwatch. "His eight o'clock is running late, luckily you're just in time. Come with me."

Sheila's heart began to race instantly. She hadn't prepared herself mentally enough to face Derrick Moore, especially not after the extreme dream she had this morning. She tried to remain calm and collected as the receptionist led her through the halls of Moore enterprises.

But, as soon as she stepped into Mr. Moore's office, all deliberate thoughts vanished when she saw him glance up at her from his desk. Sheila's mouth instantly dropped.

"Fuck! He's even more gorgeous in person."

"We still need to discuss the release of the ATP. I say we usher it to the world right away." A grey-haired man who was sitting opposite Mr. Moore said.

Mr. Moore motioned for Sheila to come in as he tried to round up with his ongoing meeting.

"I think it's too early to launch a new product. What do you think of Ms. Reese?" Mr. Moore turned to Sheila and she soon realized he was talking to her.

"Me?" She asked with a little bit of perplexity.

"Yes, Ms. Reese. As you might already know, our company recently released a new product which is a software program designed to help make the menstruation period easier and less painful. We are thinking of launching its pro in a few days."

"Uhm!.." Sheila hesitated at first. "I think it's too early to launch the pro, given that the software is yet to spend three weeks out there. In my opinion, you should allow it to spend some more time, and in that period, you could think of some extras to add to the pro to make it more exciting and in this period, you probably could have the marketing team start advertising the product. That way, the Pro would be much anticipated and given a befitting patronize when it is finally out."

"That's brilliant." Mr. Moore looked pleased as he stared at Sheila. Then he turned to the man sitting across from him.

"I want a fresh draft that takes her suggestions into account on my desk by the end of today. Understood?"

"Sir..."

"That's an order, Steven. I have an appointment with Ms. Grande." Mr. Moore said, interrupting Steven.

Steven nodded and got up. He flashed Sheila a displeased stare before walking away.

When he was out of sight, Mr. Moore turned his full attention to Sheila. And she catches her breath at the intenseness of his gaze.

"I'm sorry for that."

"It's fine, I'm glad my idea was taken to interest." Sheila smiled at him.

"Of course, it was a brilliant one."

"I see you dressed to impress." He said as he sized her up.

Sheila grinned at his remark. "Hope it worked?"

"Of course, you look like you're a part of us already."

He stared at Sheila from head to foot, and she felt her pulse begin to palmitate at his intense gaze. Dangerously alluring eyes lingered on her longer than should be considered normal and Sheila found herself staring back.

And at long last, his gaze finally shifts from Sheila's face, drifting onto a file on his desk. He cleared his throat, in an attempt to find his composure.

"So you studied at the University of Southern California!" He asked, and Sheila realized he was going through her resume.

"Yes... I've got a master's degree in Business Management."

"Congratulations!"

"Thank You." Sheila smiled.

"My secretary does a lot of things aside from fetching paperwork and making me coffee. I don't drive myself to work, my secretary does that. You're expected to be at my house as early as the break of dawn to pick me up. I travel every now and then, and you're expected to come with me to each trip and event. Can you do that, Sheila?"

The sound of her name on his lips was everything and sultry, reminding Sheila of the explicit dream she had that morning and she instantly felt hot in between her legs.

"There are a lot more other things that you'll get to know when you commence work and I want to make sure you can cope with all of it."

"You're making being your secretary sound scary," Sheila said calmly with a wry smile.

"I'm sorry if it came off that way, I just don't want you backing out at some point when you probably realize that what you got wasn't what you bargained for."

"I can cope with being your secretary and whatever package comes with you," Sheila said with a deeper meaning. She noticed something flash across Mr. Moore's eyes, but it was gone before she could even make out what that look was. "Besides, my bills won't sort themselves." She grinned.

Mr. Moore's eyes fell on her body once again, and Sheila wondered what was going on in his mind. His gaze lingered on her for a little too long before he finally took his eyes off her.

"In that case, I'll see you tomorrow at six thirty am."

He dipped a hand in his shirt pocket and pulled out his card with his home address written on the back of it and handed it to Sheila. "That's my home address."

Sea-green eyes grew wide with shock.

"I got the job?"

"Of course, it'd be a shame to lose a smart woman like yourself. I mean, you outshined every other applicant." Mr. Moore said.

Sheila's heart raced with joy as she collected the card from him in the process, their hands brushed against each other's, and a tinge of warmness crept from the spot, spreading a wild heat all over her body.

At that moment, the door creaked open and the receptionist from earlier walked in.

"Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Moore, but the executives have already assembled in the conference room. They await you joining them."

"I'll be there shortly." He tells the receptionist and she turns and leaves.

"See you tomorrow." Mr. Moore smiles at Sheila before retrieving his hand from the card.
