Chapter 24: Offended

INSIDE the Garcias' company, Yazed and Dexter were busy discussing projects. Meanwhile, Jennelyn had a look of impatience on her face while listening to the two.

Dexter glanced at the woman Yazed was now talking to. He wanted to laugh because she didn't seem interested in the papers. He faked a cough when she rested her head on his friend’s shoulder and acted like she was tired, even though they had just started.

Yazed seemed to come to his senses and looked at Jenny who kept leaning her head on his shoulder. He didn't notice that her attention was not on what he was saying. He hemmed to get her attention.

Jennelyn simply adjusted herself and sat up before smiling at Yazed. She wanted to roll her eyes at Dexter for being a third wheel.

"How is your Aunt? I haven't seen her in days?" Dexter asked the woman so she wouldn't feel uneasy with him.

Jennelyn smiled at the lawyer before answering. "She is on vacation right now, so she can't come here with me."
