Katie's POV

“Like I said Dracko, it's fine. Let's focus more on the more delicate matters like not dying.” I pat them both on their shoulders, brushing past them to the pay counter.

“Come on guys, we don't have all day. You should be done with what you need by now.” I said without turning back to see if they were trailing behind me.

Dracko rushed to my side, his height bending a bit to accommodate our height difference.

“One more thing, Katie. Nobody who isn't you, me, or Roman can know about this.” He emphasized. “Sure. Your secret is safe with me.” I assured him in a discreet voice even though the male cashier looked uninterested in whatever we were talking about. I dumped the basket on the counter allowing the cashier to begin processing it. I crossed my fingers that it wouldn't go beyond my budget.

I wasn't expecting Dracko to draw me to the side. His eyes dark from the way he backed the light shining behind him.
