Chapter 41

Katie's POV

A light flashed at me, the mic over my head.

I literally walked into a media ambush. And There everyone stood in a U shape and I was right there in their center looking like a fish drawn out of the coldest lake. The sound of the door clicked behind me which meant the evil beast for a stepmother didn't only close the door to reduce my chances of escaping from this setup, but further threw the key into the ocean just to make sure that I was ruined. I haven't known her for long but it was very much typical of her.

She sort of glided from my back where I couldn't quite see her but knew she was watching me to where I could see her full dull deep blue dress that stretched over her legs. The expensive pearl on her neck and modest hair were one instead of the extravagant lustrous hair she wore that bounced like it had spring infused in it.

This was very much a huge set up alright. They looked modest, almost like they were mourning but with secret smiles on their faces.
