Chapter 35 Nia pov~Lucian's Worries 

"Lucian, wait! The princess should be dressed in more than just your dress shirt," Azrael grinned slightly and Lucian grabbed the sweatpants from his hand. Lucian's shirt covered me like a thigh-high dress but rode up to allow my cheek to peek out. When he handed the pants to me I grinned.

"Poor baby, you won't get to see my bare ass any longer,'' I teased playfully, pulling the sweatpants up my bare flesh. Lucian wasn't smiling as he watched me which caused me concern. I squeezed his hand when I finished tying the knot and asked what was going on. He shook his head and led me to the back of the castle. Once outside he roared out a pitiful sound.

"What is it, Lucian?" I asked with deepening concern. He gazed at me with blood tears falling down his cheeks. Cupping his face I kissed his mouth.

He grabbed my wrists and pulled my hands gently away.

"I have put you and our unborn child in harm's way because of my blood oath. Can't you see that?" He said solemnly and I shook my head.
