Chapter 36 Lucian's pov on Separation 

I entered the castle and went to Azrael to inform him that I wanted to confront the Elders. I knocked on his office door and entered when he said to enter. Azrael glanced at me with a furrowed brow.

"I removed my mark from Nia to keep her and our unborn child safe from the Elders. We will keep our bond until she can carry my mark without retaliation," I told him calmly.

"Her father is requesting that I take her back to attend her debut celebration," Another voice asserted from the corner. I frowned seeing the devil making himself known.

"I just came from there after dropping off Noah and Jaxon at Nikolai's," Lucifer said. My heart dropped realizing this was it. I sighed deeply, looking sternly at him, and asked, "Can you go to my suite at Nikolai's and bring me the letter in the top drawer of my desk, please?"
