Chapter seventy

Narrator's POV

The City. Aunt Darcy's House.

Aunt Darcy poked at her food.

Two days, and her son hadn't come home. No calls, no texts.

She wasn't the only sad one.

Nancy felt guilty.

She'd told Luther about Harvey. And lied to her mother that Harvey had loved.

She'd taken everything from her mother.

She was an ingrate.

The two were quiet thought out dinner.

Aunty Darcy sighed as Nancy cleared away the plates.

She sighed again as Nancy came back to sit

Nancy couldn't concentrate on her homework, she was bothered about Luther too.

Her mother was about to sigh again, when there was a knock at the door.

Her mother rushed to the door.

Nancy shook her head. Luther didn't knock. Just a neighbor or something.

She heard her mother gasp.

When she ran to the front door, her mother was on the ground, unconscious.

David looked at her.

"Hello, Nancy".

Professor Harvey was tired, but he had to continue.

He should have just taken the bus instead.

There was only one to go there.
