Joe's PoV

I shook in my sleep. My spirit shot out of my body. I tried to get back into it, but i kept felling out.

"Can't sleep?", Master Damien asked.

I went over to where he sat on a rock,reading a book.

"Why are we here?"

"Your training".

"You knew that I didn't leave. And you didn't chase me away".

"Dietri. She might be weak when it comes to power levels, but she's got a good eye. It's why I made her head of the academy", he replied. "And Eida has a soft spot for you", he added

I kept quiet. There were people in the world who cared about me. Wanted the best for me. Loved me. 'Why didn't I cross paths with them sooner?', I thought.

"I've never seen her show affection for anyone, not in the last century. Her clan got wiped out".

"Wiped out?"

"By Demon Hunters. Her brother was the leader ,then he got beheaded. She had to lead them. She couldn't have known that they had a traitor who wanted his own clan wiped out so bad he sold them out".
