Ethan’s POV**

As soon as I stepped into the dark damp corridor of our rendezvous, I knew something was wrong. Something awful had to be going on.

I could sense it with the way my skin prickled. That was the first sign that appeared whenever I felt anxious.

As I stepped further in, the anxiety doubled.

Sophia wasn’t here, Gilbert nor his friends were there either. And Emily was nowhere to be found as well.

“Sophia!” I bellowed but no one answered. Instead, the walls echoed my voice, proving further that there was nobody there.

“Emily!” I yelled, but no one answered as well. It seemed like everyone had disappeared into thin air, leaving no traces behind.

I stomped around the building, furiously flinging doors open and peering in, in an attempt to find someone, anyone.

I continued down the hallway until I stumbled across something- no someone who was sprawled on the floor.

By the look of it, she seemed lifeless. And from where I stood by the doorway, I couldn’t hear any heartbeat to sign
