Weird dream

**Emily’s POV**

My breath hitched in my throat as soon as my eyes flung open, and I realised with petrification that I was in an extremely dark alleyway and that there was no one in sight.

I looked around me quickly, taking in the entire surrounding, but I still couldn’t place where I was and could almost swear that I’d never been here before.

How the fuck did I get here?

From a distance, I could see beams of dim light flickering about at the end of the alleyway, and seeing it as the only light around this dark, creepy place; I slowly trudged toward it.

I could feel my heart racing from fear and could also sense the palpitations my heart made as I slowly walked to the place, but I paid no attention to it as all I could think of was leaving this place.

I wasn’t sure where I was headed; if anything, I felt that this was a kind of trap and that I was walking right into it; as soon as I got to the light’s source, I immediately sucked in a sharp breath.
