Chapter 56

It has been a week since Maya told Liam and Skyler about her pregnancy. They promised they wouldn't say a word to Jason.

"Do you have to go?" Maya sighed with her arms wrapped around Giovanni's neck.

"Yes, Mami. I'll be back in a week, and thank you again for agreeing to watch Gabriela."

"It's no problem at all." Maya smiled.

Giovanni turned to Gabriela and bent down to his knees before he hugged her. "You should be good to Maya, okay? Don't be naughty."

Gabriela hugged her father back while nodding. Giovanni got up and kissed Maya on the cheek before he left.

Once he closed the door, he pulled out his phone and clicked on a contact number.

"Are you on your way yet?" A deep voice asked through the phone.

"Yes, sir. She doesn't suspect a thing."

With that, Giovanni got into his car and drove out of town. He felt awful for what he was doing, but needed the money to help look after his daughter.
