Chapter 58

"I missed you," Maya said, and kissed Giovanni on the neck before moving up to his lips. Giovanni let out a shaky breath as he kissed her back.

Maya moved her hands down to Giovanni's belt, trying to remove it. His eyes shot open, and he stepped away from her. "Sorry, Maya. I can't do this."

Maya raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "Maya? Since when do you call me that?"

Giovanni scratched the back of his head and took a deep breath. "This isn't going to work for me, Maya. I'm just here to fetch Gabriela."

Maya felt her heart drop at his words. "What do you mean it won't work out?" She asked as she fought back her tears.

"I mean, you're pregnant with someone else's children. No man would want to raise another man's kids!" He yelled.

Giovanni regretted what he said the second it left his mouth. Maya could no longer hold her tears in. Her tears began running down her cheeks as she stepped away from Giovanni.

"Mami, shit. I didn't mean that, I'm sorry." Giovanni stepped closer
