An ex in need

Miguel's POV

I headed into my company and was welcomed with stares from my workers. It was too much, to the point that I noticed it.

However, whenever I turned towards them, they turned their faces back to the task they had in hand.

I furrowed my brows as I wondered the reason for the odd behaviour.

Could it be that something happened in the office, in my absence?

I hurried towards my elevator and swiped my card on it.

The stares stopped the moment I stepped into the elevator, and it resumed the moment I strode out of it.

This time, it was my secretary who had her entire focus on me.

“Good morning, boss!” She yelled, with her eyes glued on me.

“Hmm.”

I chose to ignore her gaze as I strode past her and made to enter my office.

“Why are you dressed this way, boss? Is there any problem?” She pursed her lips.

From the way her mouth shook, I can tell she was trying not to laugh.

“What's wrong with the way I dressed?” I glared at her.

After all, she's to be blamed for this.
