“What?” I widened my eyes.

“Let's go. She's not worth my time.” Nikki took my hand in hers and turned. “Let's check the other stores. This place isn't worth it if someone like her buys things here.”

Before I could so much blink, she dragged me out of the store and headed to the one opposite it.

“What's wrong? Why did you drag me out?” I frowned at a scowling Nikki.

“That woman there is Pearl. She's your husband's ex-girlfriend.” She said as if that explained the hastiness in her steps.

“Hmm.”

"Stupid ugly ex!" She murmured under her breath, sounding super pissed.

I couldn't help, but compare myself to Miguel's supposed ex-girlfriend.

Compared to her, I look like a maid, while she looks like a model.

And that made me wonder why Miguel left her.

Could it be that she was the one who dumped him?

“She's beautiful.” I murmured.

“Just like a snake before it bites. She's an ugly bitch who doesn't mind the number of people she takes down if it means she gets to achieve her goals.
